Sometimes you feel like............ sometimes you don't.

So.. it was my birthday last week (shudder) I am officially in my LATE 20's. I never thought this day would happen and I am not sure where to go from here. So I decided to make a little list of the things I like and the things I don't. Why? Well I apparently have nothing better to do so stuff it.

Things I like-
* Dogs

*Hugs (but only from people I love)

*Laughing kids

*Swedish Fish

*Napping

*Pepsi from Hart's

*When my niece or nephew hug me for no reason.

*Reading before bed

*Sleeping in on Saturday's

*Having lunch with my friend's and laughing so hard we cry.

*Laughing at the subtle jokes in movies and on t.v. that other people don't get.

*Taking Dayzie for a walk around town

*Having my hair, nails done.

*Being able to recite the dialogue from my favorite t.v. shows and movies (I freak people out by being able to do this)

*Listening to the same song over and over and over and over.

*Dancing around when no one is looking and knowing I am AWESOME at it!

*Looking at pictures of my beautiful and amazing friends.

*Getting a text/email or message from a friend I haven't talked to in awhile.

*Hearing a song from Jr. High/High School/College.

*Having a conversation with a close friend or family member without saying a word.

*When someone plays with my hair.

Things I Don't like so much:
*Wind

*When strangers want to hug me

*Thunder

*When strangers want to tell me very personal things I don't wanna know. Espec. when in line at Wal-Mart.

*Broccoli

*Things that are "mooshy"

*Running

*The word "Moist"

*People that are flakey

*When people bring screaming kids to the movies/restaurant's/stores or basically public and then ignoring them.

*When people shhhh me.

*When people call my dog fat.(This is likely to result in me kicking you)

*When people stare at me.

*Coconut

*Dr. Pepper

*Movies that make me cry..... A LOT

*When people only say "ain't" instead of "isn't" "are not" or "none"

*The smell of dirty hair (GAG)

*Warm soda

*When my heels are rough.

*That some of my closest friends live so far away (This is my VERY least favorite thing)

This is just a small sampling of the things I like and dis-like.

23 and 24 September

23 September 2010 (Thursday)

Our tiredness started to show. We were getting a bit sad at not having a place to live. The one place we saw wasn't to our liking, and it wasn't furnished. We weren't losing hope, but we were tired, and ready for a nap. Hope was just around the corner! The Lord really is mindful of us!

24 September 2010 (Friday)

We weren't feeling so stressed about where we could live. We were almost 100% sure we were getting out cottage in Chilham. So we could focus on school and getting ready for the start of the term on Monday. I had to put a picture of Jesse as "grandpa" in just for fun. It was awesome.

Moving day! We had our flat, and good thing too. The weather turned finally and we were getting rained out! So we moved all our stuff in one cab ride. It was very squishy!

We now have a home, an address, and really feel like we're here and ready to go! School starts soon so we'll see how long that enthusiasm goes!

21 and 22 of September

21 September 2010 (Tuesday)

This day was much of the same, except that we were searching in Canterbury. We spent hours at the letting agencies, and came back with a few leads, but nothing concrete. The best part of the day was the weather, and the pub we ate at. I still can't believe I get to live in this country!

22 September 2010 (Wednesday)

We no longer could afford our 100£ a night flat so a fantastic ward family let us move in, in a tent, in their garden until we found a more permanent place. It seriously is the biggest tent I have ever seen! And they had really comfy air mattresses and duvets!

We fit four people in the bed... it wasn't that comfy but we all fit! (With our feet falling over the edge.)

This is the giant tent we got to live in! It was huge!

We had to keep the motion activated lights on, so I had to take pictures of our silliness!

Picture a Day in England!

19 September 2010 (Sunday)

After all the chaos I arrived, and made it to the hotel in Ashford. I had no idea we had so much stuff! It's a lot of people in a small space! But we're here, and we're together!

20 September 2010 (Monday)

Today we started to try and find us a flat! We liked the village of Whitstable and tried to find something there; and well, we came to find that they don't like students much.

This really was only the start of our crazy adventures! The week got crazier and crazier! It is funny now since we have a place to live, but during the time it was kind of stressful.

We found out on Monday that they had let in 500 extra undergraduate students who didn't have any housing, so even MORE people were looking for a place to live. Craziness!

Picture a day in America

9-15-2010 (Wednesday)

The picture of the day is the usual game of how big is Annie's mouth. It is really quite impressive.

9-16-2010 (Thursday)

This day was so chaotic. In less than 24 hours we thought we all were going to miss our flight, and then come to find out everyone was going to receive their passports and visa's (except me) so we rushed to the airport where I dropped them off, only to find that we forgot one giant bag. I would be lucky enough to take that across the pond. (It ended up weighing 65 pounds! It is bigger than it looks in the picture)

9-17-2010 (Friday)

After all the chaos of the day before I decided to veg and rest. I found late Thursday that my visa would arrive at my parents house on Friday and we were going to turn around and overnight it to me on Saturday, so I had one more day of relaxation. So I got to go to the Spokane Temple with Neil, it was really pretty and peaceful. (It was too dark to get a good picture of the temple, so I took a picture of the picture in the temple book .

9-18-2010 (Saturday)

This day was sheer chaos from start to finish, and the only time I got to take any pictures was in the morning, and I got pictures of Judd and Molly. They were so sad. They could tell that someone else was leaving. I love those dogs, and they were great company.

Gah! I thought I had lost my camera, but I hadn't

Okay I have to apologize again! I really thought I had lost my camera, but thank heavens it was just in the bottom of my giant bag. I will keep updating until I'm caught up, which should be today, and then I will get back to one post a day.

It really isn't that fun to live out of your suitcase for three weeks.

9-10-10 (Friday)

I drove to Ella's and hang out with her. In the evening we both chilled and tried to catch up on things we needed to do. It was really fun and soothing to just be around her again. Sometimes all I need to do is... nothing.

9-11-10 (Saturday)

Ella and I went to the movies so she could see "Eclipse" and then we rented "Remember Me." I forgot how much I love watching movies with Ella. Also she makes some amazingly healthy lunches that are awesome! Love you my Ella!

9-12-10 (Sunday)

Today was my day with my Dad. We got to go riding, we got rid of my phone, and then we got to go and watch "Inception." It's a really awesome movie, and I can't wait to watch it again. It really is one of those movies that you need to see again to fully grasp it. When I walked out of the movie I thought it ended one way, but upon further thinking of it, I realized I think it ended another way. I don't want to ruin it for anyone, so please go watch it! Then we came home and hung out with the family. We then watched "Shutter Island" which is also an awesome movie. I think my crush on Leo is back, but only because he's an AMAZING actor.

My picture for today is my Dad's bike. I couldn't' really get a picture with both of us on it, so I took one of Big Blue all by herself. Isn't she beautiful?!?!?!?

9-13-10 (Monday)

Today was a hectic day. I had to pack, move, and fly to Spokane, but it was all worth it, because look at the face that was waiting to greet me once I got to the Thorsons.

Judd is awesome. Kathleen, Jesse, and Tara are also pretty cool too.

In all seriousness I love these people and I'm happy to spend time with them.

9-14-10 (Tuesday)

Annie came into town this morning and now I get to spend time with her! I loved today, we got to read on the lawn, take a nap, and had sushi for dinner. AMAZING!
The picture for today was me laying on the blanket trying to get a shot of Tara giving Annie a massage. I like the way it turned out.

ExCuSe mE? tHe WhAt????

Thanks to my new NOOK (aka Edgar). I am in full blown reading mode! I just finished reading The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen. I chose this because the t.v. show Rizzoli and Isles is based off this book series. I like the show it is pretty entertaining.....not as fantastic as Bones or Criminal Minds (but what is?)

I was a little surprised when the book really had very little about Rizzoli and even less about Isles. The main focus was Moore. I really liked this character.

There was a part that made me giggle (because I am slightly immature) while reading the medical report the detective learned that there was semen foundin the "vaginal vault". Now I am not sure what about this region is a vault, and I don't REALLY want to know but that term made me giggle....... as it should!

Still Trying to Catch Up!

I promise I am taking a picture a day to document my life. I am just having a hard time finding free Internet locations that I can frequent. I am fighting off a chest cold, and am having a hard time of it.

9-7-2010
Tuesday... Momo and I went to the farmers market downtown and bought some AMAZING strawberries and I knew I had to get a picture of them! Yum!!!

9-8-2010
Wednesday... Today was Momo's 71st birthday. I took her out to lunch and then we went and saw "Eat, Pray, Love." Wonderful day with wonderful food. I love my Momo and I love that I got to spoil her.

9-9-2010
Thursday... today was a day of me sleeping and sorting through my belongings. I didn't feel well because I was at my parents apartments and I am allergic to their apartment. So I went outside for some fresh air. I got some lovely pictures of the view from their balcony.

DISCLAIMER: If this post seems crazy and random, it probably is. I am posting this while on NyQuil, and I really can't be responsible for my actions while medicated.

Pictures!

9-3-2010 (Friday)

This was a hard day. It was my last day at InnerLight and the first day of my new adventure. We had a dinner at Pirate Island with a random assortment of people, but my life is random, so it was perfect.

My Dad and eye won eye patches and kazoo lips. It was awesome, we played the rifle game over and over and over. It was so good to see my Dad again. It had been far too long.

9-4-2010(Saturday)

Oh man what a day. It ended up being 12 hours of driving. We had to stop a few times to retie down all my crap, then we stopped in Winnemucca to buy extra bungees. Then there was a road closure at the California state line. All in all it was a Jagger adventure. But we made it home safe and sound. The first picture below is when we entered the California state line, and they stopped us to see if we brought in any fruit. Dad made a colorful gay comment that I chose not to post.

9-5-2010 (Sunday)

Today was the day to unload all my crap and try to find room for it. I'm still not sure how all of this is going to work out. All I have to say is that my Dad is a master of Tetris and Jenga.

9-6-2010 (Monday)

Today was the day that I went through all my clothes. Even though I gave two garbage bags full of clothing away to thrift stores, I still have too much. I need to condense down to two large suitcases and a carryon bag. Gulp... I'm not sure how I'm going to manage.

More pictures to be updated soon! I found free internet at the library!

You never know until you try.....

Samiee here. I just finished reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett. LOVED IT! This book is well written and a beautiful story I laughed and I cried (well almost). This book jumps up the list of my favorites. It is easily in the top 5. It is To Kill a Mockingbird good! read the synopsis here.

A movie is being made for this amazing book and I am pretty excited about it. As usual I do not agree with EVERY actress/actor that was selected but I am not in the movie biz so what do I know? Click here to see the cast of The Help.

9/2/10

9/02/2010 (Thursday)

Today is 90210 day!!! I didn't realize that until my friend Annie Howington posted it as her facebook status. It made me so happy! If I had known sooner I would have found a way to celebrate. And I still will try after work. So my pictures so far today have been pictures I have taken of my computer screen for pictures of the original cast of 90210.

8/31/10 & 9/1/10

8/31/2010 (Tuesday)

We finally got all of our stuff out of our old apartment. It only took til 3:30 AM to finish. Cindy and I had fun as we were loading and unloading Cherie and my stuff. We were so tired that everything was funny.

9/1/2010 (Wednesday)

This is how I will be living for the next 3 weeks... out of suitcases. I really need to go through my stuff, because I have too much! But I'm excited for the adventures ahead!
