23 February 2011- Day 204

Wednesday

I went into London to see a William Forsythe show, and I decided to try out my new hat. I think I like it!

February 22nd

22 February 2011- Day 203

Tuesday

Junk food day! I went to my classes and then came home to binge on junk food. My choice of the day was fake nacho cheese and tortilla chips. Oh yeah. I had to take a picture of the fake nacho cheese. It was horribly good.

February 21st

21 February 2011- Day 202

Monday

I came home from a day on campus to a lovely bunch of flowers on our kitchen table. I love that Kathleen gets flowers for our home. So so lovely.

And part of that bouquet was thistles! Yay!!! Reminds me of Scotland.

February 20th

20 February 2011- Day 201

Sunday

We had dinner at the Griggs, and afterwards the girls and I drew pictures and colored. Emiley made me this drawing. It is me... can you see the resemblance?

February 19th

19 February 2011- Day 200!!!!!!!

Saturday

I can't believe it's been 200 days since I started this thing! Awesome. Okay, today I had to get a picture of how cool Annie's hair is when she wakes up. It's seriously amazing!

She's awesome!

The End.

February 18th

18 February 2011- Day 199

Friday

Today the Sisters came over for dinner, and it was Sister Kinjo's birthday so Annie made her a birthday cake that was SOOOOOOOOO good. Sister Kinjo turned 22 on Monday, but according to her candles she turned 9. Kids sure look more mature these days.

I love that we get to help support and get to know our missionaries. They are pretty cool.

February 17th

17 February 2011- Day 198

Thursday

Yay for lazy days. It was a day of catching up with some of our costume dramas we have borrowed. We watched Cranford and planned for Pride & Prejudice.

February 16th

16 February 2011- Day 197

Wednesday

The Potter family came over for dinner tonight, and because we were having so much fun, I forgot to take a picture, until they had left and we were cleaning up. So I had to take a picture of one of the empty apple juice bottles. (They brought 7 bottles of fancy apple juice. It was awesome.)

February 15th

15 February 2011- Day 196

Tuesday

We all went to see "The Screwtape Letters" the play adaptation. It was actually pretty good, and perfect for BYU-Idaho. I caught this cool picture of the girls.

February 14th

14 February 2011- Day 195

MONDAY

Today is Valentines Day or Single Awareness Day, but in all honesty I couldn't care less. I got a card for my roomies, and my parents, and Jesse got us all chocolate. It was an okay day, but nothing to make me scream love or hatred. So I give it a good... meh.

February 13th

13 February 2011- Day 194

Sunday

Naomi said she wasn't in our blogs at all, and wondered if her work of art could be the picture of the day today. I think it's a perfect idea, so this is for you Mrs. Potter.

Quite good if I do say so myself.

Samiee's POTD

This is the view from my seat leaving Regan airport on my way home. It was an early morning flight and I was REALLY, REALLY sick. I was coughing, fevering and sounded like I swallowed broken glass. Just what someone wants to sit next to on a flight huh?

I thought this picture turned out well despite being taken a) on my phone and b) through a dirty airplane window.
The night before I had arrived in Arlington, Virginia via Greyhound bus from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was a loooong ride.I was super sick but my boss was kind enough to put me up in the swanky Hyatt Regency near the airport to make up for making me take a friggin bus.

When I arrived in Harrisburg very early in the morning it looked a lot like what I imagine the streets of Harry Potter looked like so I snapped this picture.

February 12th

12 February 2011- Day 193

Saturday

Now our dinner conversations are quite diverse; in one five minute span we went from asking what Annie's top 5 Ina recipes were, to then asking Kathleen who were top 5 wrestlers were. Now Kathleen, bless her heart, tried to name 5 wrestlers... and only came out with 3. Jesse and I shared ours, and then I decided to look up old WWF wrestlers. That led us to watching the 1992 WWF Royal Rumble on youtube. Sadly this is the one that Ric Flair won. But the awesome part was, Kathleen watched it!

I was such a proud Mama!

February 11th

11 February 2011- Day 192

Friday

Today we went and saw True Grit. It was incredible in more ways than I can express. I already did a post on our Pilgrims blog about it, so I won't say much. Just that I loved it!

And yes, to clear up any confusion... I do own an eye patch. I know this shocks you all. (I got it at Pirate Island, when me and my Dad played the rifle game.) I thought it quite fitting.

February 10th

10 February 2011- Day 191

Thursday

Today was a nothing day. We stayed in, and didn't adventure. Mostly because it was a rainy day. We watch Frequency, and then word twisted, skyped with Shanelle, and then did our different various tasks. When night came round I realized that I hadn't taken any cool pictures inside the house in awhile. So now I will show you the lighting situation in our home. We blow out at least one light bulb a week. It's crazy. So now we have resorted to using Christmas lights until we stock up on more light bulbs.

It is really fun to wordtwist by Christmas light!

February 9th

9 February 2011- Day 190

Wednesday

Our house was invaded my missionary ninjas!

And here we thought it was just going to be a normal dinner with the missionaries. Hah... proved me wrong. When are we ever quiet or normal?

Ninja destruction UK style... huh... who knew?!?!?!?

February 8th

8 February 2011- Day 189

Tuesday

Tilly and I went on an adventure. I slept through my alarm and missed my class. So I decided to clean the house and catch up on some errands. But I also got to walk with Tilly around Chilham, and then on the property. We met up with bugsy and I fave him a bit of treat. He's such an awesome horse.

I can't believe I get to live here!

February 7th

7 February 2011- Day 188

Monday

I caught a really cool shot of the double decker bus going through the west gate turret. I've seen it happen so often, and it still shocks me how close of a fit it is. The picture really doesn't do it justice, but it's awesome none the less.

February 6th

6 February 2011- Day 187

Sunday

We found the old 1966 "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Pot" cartoon and watched it. It was a fantastic trip down memory lane.

February 5th

5 February 2011- Day 186

Saturday

So, I have been thinking about what I wanted to do with my hair for the past few weeks. I am not enjoying it right now. It is too long to be a cute bob anymore, and it is too short to have long styles. So I cut it all off! (By cut it ALL off, I mean more of... I had them cut a few inches.)

Now these picture don't really do it justice since it is REALLY cute, and it was really windy all day. Plus this is the way the stylist did it. Tomorrow I will experiment on how I like it the most.

I already feel like a new me. It's awesome!

February 4th

4 February 2011- Day 185

Friday

Today we went to Cineworld in Ashford and saw "Tangled" it was awesome. We got loads of goodies to take with us. Awesome movie, awesome adventure!

February 3rd

3 February 2011- Day 184

Thursday

Today was a ladies day! Kathleen informed us of the Chartam farmers market, so we walked there to check it out. I am going to blog about our little adventure, so I will just pick one picture.

This is now going to be a weekly trip! It was awesome!

February 2nd

2 February 2011- Day 183

Wednesday

Today was a really fun day. I woke up, and got to talk to my family, and then I looked over and see Kathleen has jumped onto Annie's bed. She was so cute all snuggled up in her duvet.

Kathleen was super sweet and made me a baked apple, that I ate after my run. It was delicious, but I was so sad to cut into it because it was so beautiful!

And finally I had to document Jesse making a lemon meringue pie for the dinner with the sister missionaries tonight. (It was awesome by the way!)

February 1st

1 February 2011- 182

Tuesday

I got to go into London town today, and of course that meant I forgot to take any pictures. Except for one. This cool pub that we almost ate at. (We didn't because it was closed for renovations.) It is called "The Red Cow". I loved the picture of the title. It's a cow with a monocle and a pipe. hee hee hee

January 31st

31 January 2011- Day 181

Monday

So today I ran around like a crazy woman. I had so much to do and class to attend. But when I took a minute to catch my breath I saw this awesome view form the theatre building. I can't believe its the last day of January!

Another cute picture that I had to add was Kathleen throwing away some dying flowers. It looked so sad when she tied the bag and it looked like the flowers were trying to escape. I had to document the moment.

January 30th

30 January 2011- Day 180

Sunday

I decided to try and dress really cute for church. I wore my new red ballet flats, and my new gray tights (those were courtesy of gift cards in my stocking from Kathleen and Annie) and my black and white polka dot dress.

I felt really cute, and I think I looked cute. So all in all the day was a success.

I found it impossible to get a good picture of the outfit and still get the shoes in. So this is what you get!

January 29th

29 January 2011- Day 179

Saturday

The day before Kathleen and Jesse were asked to dogsit Tilly for the day. The Plunketts were going to be in London for the night. Well today I got to go for a walk with Miss Tilly and it was amazing. She really is the perfect walking dog.

The only bad thing she does, is steal slippers. This trip over she seemed especially partial to Kathleeny's slippers.

PS... When I get back to the states, I want to find me a Tilly!
