Today was our tour of D-Day, ad we saw some amazing sights. Including the American Cemetery, St. Mere Eglise, Museum of Omaha, and the Airborne museum.

And to end the day we played uno while waiting for the train to cross the channel.

Amazing day!

Trying to catch up some more. I have just taken too many pictures!

19 June 2011- Day 320

Sunday

Today I tried to look cute since I would be teaching Sunday school, and I'm not sure how the outfit turned out, but the lesson went really well I think. And that is because we had lots of participation!

20 June 2011- Day 321

Monday

Today Kathleen made a lovely breakfast, and it was just so colorful I had to take a picture of it.

And then I had to catch a picture of Neil and Jesse doing their grandpa faces. It was really funny!

21 June 2011- Day 322

Tuesday

We decided to take a walk around Chilham since we were having such good weather. We went to see fields of poppies, and to just enjoy the evening. It was a really fun evening.

Annie was really adorable and kid like during the walk. I took tons of pictures of her. She makes me laugh.

22 June 2011- Day 323

Wednesday

Today we drove to France.

And we were excited!

15 June 2011- Day 316

Wednesday

Kathleen and Jesse got back from Italy and they brought presents! They found this awesome dramatic mask for me! It is beautiful and I can't wait to put it in my room!

16 June 2011- Day 317

Thursday

The Thorsons also bought the card game Uno... and we had to play it, ASAP. I learned that Kathleen has a unique way of shuffling.

17 June 2011- Day 318

Friday

We had to play Uno again. It really is an addictive card game! Now if only I could win.

18 June 2011- Day 319

Saturday

I got asked today to teach Gospel Doctrine tomorrow, so it was a day for reading and preparing. It is a great topic, and I'm excited to see what I learn in class.

13 June 2011- Day 314

Monday

Today I decided to walk down to our little Chilham shop down the road. It is so cute, and I've frequented it so much that the workers there recognize me. I feel like a part of the community.

June 12th

12 June 2011- Day 313

Sunday

Lazy Sunday evening just watching some So You Think You Can Dance, and some old Dr Quinn episodes.

June 11th

11 June 2011- Day 312

Saturday

Today I got to go to the temple to be there when Teri Gage went through for the first time. It was a lovely experience, and I truly feel blessed and honored to have been there.

Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the adventures to and from the temple. I got to get a ride with Simon and Amber White, and loved my time with them, and their awesome children.

I bought a few of the Ensigns to keep me up to date since I don't have a subscription while I'm here in England. Trying to keep up to date.

June 10th

10 June 2011- Day 311

Friday

Annie made a YUMMY dinner tonight. A roast chicken and veggies.

The poor chickens leg just broke clear off.

The poor chicken didn't make it.

I'm a spoiled girl! Too much yummy food.

9 June 2011

Thursday

Today I got to spend some time with Esther, James, and Elanor. We were getting ready for enrichment which I blogged about here. But I loved the pictures of Elanor on the car ride, and James dancing along with Thomas.

They are amazing kids, and I am lucky to get to spend time with them.

June 8th

8 June 2011- Day 309

Wednesday

Tonight I got to help my friend Patrice plan her UK trip next month. I am really excited for her to see England and Scotland. So we spent the time chatting on google.

I don't think the UK is ready for Patrice!

7 June 2011- Day 308

Tuesday

Today I went into uni to study and get some research done. I decided to kind of dress up and look nice, so I borrowed a pair of Annie's wedge style church shoes... well they caused blisters on my feet, so on my way home I had to get something to change into so I didn't have to walk barefoot. Well I went into the British equivalent of Payless Shoe Source, and found Jelly shoes and I couldn't resist. They were only 5 pounds.

They are so tacky they are cute!

I then went to H&M just to kill some time and found some super comfy sandals, and got those too, and since I still had a bit left on my gift card they were only 2 pounds!

All in all a good shop! I can't wait to wear my tacky shoes!

June 6th

6 June 2011- Day 307

Monday

Today we all got to play with the puppies, and they are growing up so quickly. I sadly learned that the little boy (the one with a clubbed foot) is leaving in a few days. I am really heartbroken because he is my favorite.

How could you not love that face!

Goodbye Pompadom/Wheetabix/Basil I will miss you!

(And I am serious about getting a puppy just like you when I get home!)

June 5th

5 June 2011- Day 306

Sunday

The Potters came to dinner and we had a lovely time. Annie made her delicious curry, and for pudding she made a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, and raspberries on top. Holy cow it was amazing!

Then we chatted and joked around, and then watched Toy Story 3. I got to cuddle with the girls, and relaxed while watching a brilliant movie.

A great way to spend a Sunday evening.

June 4th

4 June 2011- Day 305

Saturday

I did it! I finished the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants in 100 days! I set up to read six pages a day and ended the Book of Mormon on the 90th day, so I thought, why not try to read the D&C in those 10 days. And I did it. I've never been one for sticking to a plan and seeing it to the end, so I'm really happy that I achieved something I set my sights on.

And it really was a great testimony builder to see and read about the beginnings of the church; as well as rereading the Book of Mormon.

Now it is on to the Pearl of Great Price.

June 3rd

3 June 2011- Day 304

Friday

I went up to see the Relief Society camp for the evening with Esther Littlewood, and Emma Griggs. We met up with a bunch of the girls from Canterbury when they were about to perform their skit.

It was a soap opera Canterbury Ward style. It was... interesting... these first two pictures are of the skit.

All I remembered was Laura's baby daddy was Santa, and he was a dead beat. And Amy's only line was "Why do I always have to be an elf?" But it was brilliant and the best of the stake! Canterbury ward sets a high standard.

Then we sang around the campfire. I don't remember this song except that it was about a penguin, and there were hand and feet motions. I giggled as I documented it. The next two pictures are of our lovely Canterbury ladies participating in the song and activities.

Naomi sat off to the side because she was too good for the songs. Her excuse was the baby was dancing to the song while kicking her ribs. Likely story. =)

Amy and I just decided that these songs and jigs reminded us of cheer camp or young women's camp.

All in all it was a great night, but I was really excited to sleep in my own bed!

June 2nd

2 June 2011- Day 303

Thursday

I am now officially obsessed with the Hunger Games series. I have finished the first two and am now starting on the third.

This isn't good, I have research I should be doing, but I just can't put this book down!

I am trying to figure out why I love the young adult section of the bookstores so much. Maybe that is my brain capacity at this time.

1 June 2011- Day 302

Wednesday

Today I really was messing around with my camera because I was bored. Not that I didn't have anything to do, I just didn't want to do any of it.

So instead I took a close up picture of my wrinkly hands!

I have repeatedly wondered what a palm reader would think or say when looking at my hands.

Samiee's POTD 6-4-2011

I took this picture after hiking Bridal Veil falls with my brother and my niece Aariel. Truly breathtaking.
