28 November 2010- day 117

Sunday

Today was a really fun day. Besides having church we then got to have dinner at the Potters. It was a wonderful night, I just wish I had taken better pictures!

Kathleen made an amazing Apple-y pie thing! So yummy.

Heather didn't think I could get her in the picture... ha ha ha... I did!

27 November 2010- Day 116

Saturday

Today's picture sucks; I spent the whole day reading and studying. I didn't even get out of my PJ's.

On an up note, I did get to watch a Sesame Street Christmas Special, the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and a Fraggle Rock Christmas Episode with the rest of the fam. That was the best part of my day.

Christmas is on it's way!

Show a little more...Show a little less.....

I saw Burlesque tonight and I really liked it! When I first saw the previews I was like "meh another stupid movie". I was especially not thrilled with the fact that Christina Aguilera was the lead. She is not my fave. I am not a fan of the over-done vocals but none the less I enjoyed her. I like it so much in fact that I came home and bought the soundtrack from itunes.

Now the acting wasn't top notch and some of the dialogue was crap but Cam Gigandet is pretty hot so you may not even notice..(he is shirtless and he wears guy-liner) DRROOOOL! Oh! and there was a cameo by Diana Agron (Quin from Glee). LOOVE her!

Since I was a teen I have thought that in another life and if I had longer limbs I would have been a burlesque dancer. Ya, they dance provocatively but they aren't strippers because they don't take their clothes off, they wear tutu's, stockings, fishnets, heels, corsets, fedora's, feathers AND GLITTER! uh ya sign me up! hmmmm maybe in another life... *stares dreamily into space*.

26 November 2010- Day 115

Well these pictures are only really going to be a continuation of Thanksgiving. Jesse and I had dishes duty after Kathleen and Annie made our incredible Thanksgiving feast. Well we procrastinated until after midnight, so the pictures really were taken today.

Here is the before shot:

And the after shot:

We make a good tag team! Jesse washed, and I rinsed, dried, and put away the clean dishes.

Yay for food induced coma's! I love Thanksgiving!

25 November 2010- Day 114

THANKSGIVING!!!!!

I have a few really cute Thanksgiving pictures, and I'm sure those will end up somewhere, but I have only really cool really creepy picture of Annie that I wanted to post.

That poor turkey never had a chance!

24 November 2010- Day 113

Wednesday

Today is the day before Thanksgiving, and even though we are in England, we are not neglecting this magnificent holiday. I am excited because Annie and Kathleen are working together on this stupendous feast!

But as we are all quite silly, I had to take a picture of some of the shenanigans going on in the kitchen throughout the day. Some are tender moments and others are silly.

Jesse and Kathleen dancing in the kitchen.

Annie was quickly pulled into the routine. It was silly.

I am thankful for these people in my life!

23 November 2010- Day 112

Tuesday

On my way to the train station I saw a B&B that reminded me of Jane Eyre. I think it just matches a few of the descriptions in that book, so I thought I would take a snap of it.

The second picture is of my favorite girl... Tilly! Her and I went on a walk today. In all reality she took me for a walk. She was patient with me when I went in a muddy patch, and always checked to make sure I was near her.

She did the same at home in our yards. She would run 20 feet away from me and then drop her slipper. She would wait til I picked it up, and then went running ahead of us, and then this procedure continued until we had circled the property. She really is an excellent teacher.

My favorite moment of the night was when we were all watching Frasier, and Tilly decided to become playful. She wasn't happy unless I was playing with her or unless she was in my lap. I loved the attention... I only wish I wasn't allergic to her. It broke my heart when I had to stay away, and to see her sad face.

November 22nd

22 November 2010- Day 111

Monday

Today was a funny day, a laundry day, and a homework day. I didn't take many pictures but I did catch Annie in a funny moment. Kathleen and Annie decided to take a picture of all our scarfs to then blog about it. This is the face of Annie whilst she is deep in thought.

I forgot to take a picture of our scarfs.... we have over 30!!! I guess you'll have to wait for the blog post to see them.

21 November 2010- Day 110

Sunday

Today was an amazingly spiritual day. There was a baptism in the ward, and it really moved me. I love love love our Sister missionaries here, and sadly one of them (Sister Jensen) goes home tomorrow. I was just glad that I was able to witness another miracle in her life.

Sister Richey, Sister Gipson, Sister Jensen

PS... our ward is awesome! The end.

20 November 2010- Day 109

Saturday

Before I start this post I just want to say Happy 28th Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!!

Today was another crazy day, and full of traveling. I had another symposium in London at the Barbican. Then show that evening. So I have a few pictures of the day.

When walking to a nearby pub for dinner we came upon a church that had a spinning disco ball in it's bell tower. The light was bouncing on all the neighboring office buildings... it was really pretty. (These pictures don't do it justice.)

I just really liked that at the Barbican, the theatre we were in was called The Pit. I know it used to be the orchestra space, but now it's a small black box space. I just thought the name was awesome.

19 November 2010- Day 108

Friday

Today was a stressful day, but it was incredible because I made new friends. I have become friends with two awesome little girls. Abigail is 7, and Emily is 4. Their family came to our home for dinner, and we became fast friends. I curled their hair and played hide-and-go-seek for a LONG time. It was awesome. Sadly I don't have a great picture of them. Only from behind as they were playing in the sink with Kathleen.

18 November 2010- Day 107

Thursday

The last few days have been so hectic, that I wanted a day of rest. The only real thing I had to do was to run into town to make sure everything with my bank account is on the up and up. Then I came home and vegged all day. Reading books about theatre, and watching about 5 episodes of Frasier with the rest of the family. (I did have one class that I didn't attend because in all honesty it didn't have anything to do with me.)

In all this rushing around sometimes it just feels really good to SLOW DOWN, and do nothing! (Plus the rest of this weekend is really going to continue to be hectic.)

This is our nook that we watch Frasier in. It's quite cozy, and a bit messy.

November 17th

17 November 2010- Day 106

Wednesday

Today was a fun day. Jesse and I got to go to London for a tour of the Globe. The only issue is we went in what felt like a high school field trip. We skipped out on the acting workshop and then went to Leicester Square to pick up some tickets for a show. We decided on Wicked. And as the pictures will show... it was awesome!

November 16th

16 November 2010- Day 105

Tuesday

Today was hard. I had spent the night in Dierdre's dorm room on a tiny air mattress that had a hole in it. Suffice it to say there wasn't enough sleeping. So I got up and went to the library to study for a day full of classes about Polish Theatre. On my way to the library I took this picture, and LOVED the fog. It was so pretty. Fall/Winter is arriving!

November 15th

15 November 2010- Day 104

Monday

Today was supposed to be a day of studying, and catching up. Instead it was a day of cleaning and movie watching. Jesse purchased Armageddon and we watched that.

Then I went into town to go to dinner and a movie with my friend Dierdre and her friends. So that day I also got to see Social Network. I thought it was pretty funny and well made.

Yay for non productive productive days! I also have to state that Armageddon is one of my most favorite movies that I can and will watch a million times.

14 November 2010- Day 103

Sunday

Kathleen is silly. She was in the comfy chair, waiting on dinner. I was able to capture the wonderful moment! I thought I would share.

I love my England family!

November 13th

13 November 2010- Day 102

Saturday

Adventurous day in London! We headed over to the Lyric Hammersmith to see "Blasted." Such a beautiful theatre.

And in South Kensington by the Natural History Museum they have an outdoor ice skating rink, and a carousel. Really pretty and Christmas-y.

And the final picture is of an empty tube tunnel. It was empty because almost half of the tube was shut down. Grumble grumble.

It was quite a long day! I need a nap.

November 12th

12 November 2010- Day 101

Friday

Today was such a lazy day, and it was spent in bed with a hot waterbottle. Yea, it was one of those days.

November 11th

11 November 2010- DAY 100!!!

Thursday

Today's photo comes to us from Boxing Jesse. He had a sparring match today, and knocked someone out. But I took a picture of him, because he has a cool bruise on his nose. He got punched in the nose by his opponent.

The blood on his shirt apparently isn't his.

Boys are wierd.

*Another funny side note. Today is Armistice Day, commemorating the signing of the treaty after WWI. Jesse punched someone out of a remembrance day of peace... ha ha ha.

10 November 2010- Day 99

Wednesday

Today was a really fun and really stressful day. I've decided to only really focus on the positive. So I will start out with this really pretty picture I took at the Canterbury bus station.

I caught this really pretty picture of the sky, but without really trying I also got this awesome tree. The more I look at the picture the more I enjoy it.

We were catching a number 6 which would take us to Matalan... a cheaper clothing store. What started out as a "few" things quickly got out of hand. Our trolley was full up!

We lost Kathleen at the end. I was gone as well. But I did manage to capture this hilarious moment.

November 9th

9 November 2010- Day 98

Tuesday

All of my posts and pictures seem to be about random fun things that I do or see. I thought today's pictures would show some of what I'm studying and reading about.

Just to share a bit of detail, I still don't really understand Postdramatic Theatre.

November 8th

8 November 2010- Day 97

Monday

Today was a great day and a horrible day for one reason. Kathleen, Annie, and I got to watch "Downton Abbey", only to learn that this was the series finale until next year. WE ONLY GOT 6 EPISODES IN THE SERIES! How is that fair? It was just getting really good? How are we supposed to wait for a year!?!?!?!?

They don't start filming the next season until March!!!!! That means I'll have to wait until September to see the next 6ish episodes.

November 7th

7 November 2010- Day 96

Sunday

Today I was obsessed. I read a book in a day. It was an incredible book, and I can't wait until it is made into a movie. (In 2013!!!)

Jesse went and bought the rest of the series. (He read the book yesterday.)

If anyone is looking for a good/addictive book series I recommend this one!(Especially you Samalama!)

November 6th

6 November 2010- Day 95

Saturday

Today was fantastic! We went on a walk with the Littlewoods. We went to the Cidery and Swan Lake. It was a perfect day.

Annie and I were leading Eleanor to all the farm animals at the Cidery.

One donkey in particular really wanted his sugar cube. He was trying as hard as he could, he even got his lips reaching for it.

Eleanor really is the cutest little girl. She just sat herself in the grass near the donkeys and pondered the greater things in life.

This was an awesome day. After that we went to a ward activity. We watched fireworks and had great food.

A good way to spend a Saturday.
