Today we went and saw True Grit. It was incredible in more ways than I can express. I already did a post on our Pilgrims blog about it, so I won't say much. Just that I loved it!
And yes, to clear up any confusion... I do own an eye patch. I know this shocks you all. (I got it at Pirate Island, when me and my Dad played the rifle game.) I thought it quite fitting.
I am SHOCKED that you of all people own an eye patch. I was not aware you knew anything about pirates previous to seeing this. Hahaha j/k. My Daddo made sch a stink abou how awful it is that they would remake such a classic and no one is as good as The Duke... it ruined my desire to see it.
ReplyDeleteThe movie is incredible. And I say this having watched and loved the original. You really can't think of this as being a film trying to recreate the original. Yes it takes lines and shots from the original but each of these characters are quite individualistic. Jeff Bridges does an incredible job, plus I love Matt Damon. And that little chick that is in it is INCREDIBLE!
