6 June 2011- Day 307

Monday

Today we all got to play with the puppies, and they are growing up so quickly. I sadly learned that the little boy (the one with a clubbed foot) is leaving in a few days. I am really heartbroken because he is my favorite.

How could you not love that face!

Goodbye Pompadom/Wheetabix/Basil I will miss you!

(And I am serious about getting a puppy just like you when I get home!)

5 June 2011- Day 306

Sunday

The Potters came to dinner and we had a lovely time. Annie made her delicious curry, and for pudding she made a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, and raspberries on top. Holy cow it was amazing!

Then we chatted and joked around, and then watched Toy Story 3. I got to cuddle with the girls, and relaxed while watching a brilliant movie.

A great way to spend a Sunday evening.

4 June 2011- Day 305

Saturday

I did it! I finished the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants in 100 days! I set up to read six pages a day and ended the Book of Mormon on the 90th day, so I thought, why not try to read the D&C in those 10 days. And I did it. I've never been one for sticking to a plan and seeing it to the end, so I'm really happy that I achieved something I set my sights on.

And it really was a great testimony builder to see and read about the beginnings of the church; as well as rereading the Book of Mormon.

Now it is on to the Pearl of Great Price.

3 June 2011- Day 304

Friday

I went up to see the Relief Society camp for the evening with Esther Littlewood, and Emma Griggs. We met up with a bunch of the girls from Canterbury when they were about to perform their skit.

It was a soap opera Canterbury Ward style. It was... interesting... these first two pictures are of the skit.

All I remembered was Laura's baby daddy was Santa, and he was a dead beat. And Amy's only line was "Why do I always have to be an elf?" But it was brilliant and the best of the stake! Canterbury ward sets a high standard.

Then we sang around the campfire. I don't remember this song except that it was about a penguin, and there were hand and feet motions. I giggled as I documented it. The next two pictures are of our lovely Canterbury ladies participating in the song and activities.

Naomi sat off to the side because she was too good for the songs. Her excuse was the baby was dancing to the song while kicking her ribs. Likely story. =)

Amy and I just decided that these songs and jigs reminded us of cheer camp or young women's camp.

All in all it was a great night, but I was really excited to sleep in my own bed!

2 June 2011- Day 303

Thursday

I am now officially obsessed with the Hunger Games series. I have finished the first two and am now starting on the third.

This isn't good, I have research I should be doing, but I just can't put this book down!

I am trying to figure out why I love the young adult section of the bookstores so much. Maybe that is my brain capacity at this time.

1 June 2011- Day 302

Wednesday

Today I really was messing around with my camera because I was bored. Not that I didn't have anything to do, I just didn't want to do any of it.

So instead I took a close up picture of my wrinkly hands!

I have repeatedly wondered what a palm reader would think or say when looking at my hands.

I took this picture after hiking Bridal Veil falls with my brother and my niece Aariel. Truly breathtaking.
